I decided to put some meat on the bones of the plan I had been forming for the Toshiba, by actually beginning to create the custom distro that I eventually intend to install on it.
Namely, Takahe Linux.
The basic idea is that I will create a custom distro using PKGBUILDs and similar to run on the Toshiba. Then, I can customize to my heart’s content, while still having full compatibility with pacman, and partial support for most of the Arch Linux PKGBUILDs.
This is an ambitious scheme…
So far, I’ve managed to build the toolchain, and built a somewhat working system that I can boot with Qemu.
I’ll update here as I reach new milestones!
